OUR MISSION
"Growing up, our parents taught us to work to level the playing field – to  cheer for the one behind. Those lessons went beyond sports, and became the core of a set of values we carry with us today," said the Lamoureux twins. "Our new foundation will be making grants locally to level the playing field for kids from disadvantaged communities, mostly in the education space. We're going to advocate for these kids - we're going to cheer for them - because they are being left behind. And we're confident that this work will make a difference in our North Dakota community."
2019 Grand Forks Foundation for Education:
Offset costs for the school lunch program so all children received hot lunches for the 2019-2020 school year
2020 Kittsona Covid Meal Relief Program:
Help fund the meal program for families in need during the pandemic
2020 Grand Forks Foundation for Education:
Offset internet costs for families with children in virtual learning who would otherwise go without
2021 Grand Forks Foundation for Education:
Provided funds for essential need items for all children in Grand Forks Public Schools
2021 Fargo Public School Foundation:
Outfitted all female bathrooms with feminine product dispensers and provided feminine products free to students
The Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux Foundation has been created to support kids in need through funding of educational and extracurricular programs and other causes that align with the core values of the Lamoureux Twins, primarily in North Dakota. We have already made grants to extend eligibility for full participation in the National School Lunch Program to all kids in Grand Forks, without the need for financial contributions from their families, and to help provide food to families who have been devastated by the impact of the pandemic.
The IRS has recognized the foundation as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal revenue Code; contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
